I just love finding promos that are unexpected and break the mold.
The following is a spot from WBZ in Boston. I'm not sure this is exactly the way it aired, as the note on the side says something about slowing it down and adding music.
If anyone knows... let me know. If I'm not mistaken, the former CSD at WCCO(fast becoming my favorite promo shop in the country) is now at WBZ. Very creative work. Check it out.

Wow... very Adult Swim-ish.
I think the color bars are a little "too boring" but that's the point of this I guess. I would have done more random test patterns and station ID slates as well.
It aired with just a tone and the text was a bit slower.
Wendy McMahon is the CSD; she, along with the GM and ND are from sister-WCCO.
They've done some fantastic stuff lately and were #1 at 11pm in November.

It seems the two are taking their winning ways to WBZ... Must be great to have a news director who allows and understands this type of promotion!!
