WESH and other Hearst stations have a very cool new feature for their websites - radar that can be controlled by the actual viewer/user. It has been very well received by users... creating for us about 20-30,000 pageviews pn an average day... much more when there is bad weather.
Here is a POP done by one of our producers, Paul:

The Anchors of Animation
This is pretty funny... especially if you watch these shows.
"We need you to stand in front of this burning house and say Channel 6 is HOT, HOT, HOT!!"
Classic.

The "creative" process
If this doesn't hit close to home - I don't know what will!
Interesting Visuals
Check out this spot for CBS News. Very cool use of stills and fonts.
My biggest beef with this spot is I don't recognize most of the people and the shots go by so quick - its difficult to really get a good look at them. Maybe this would work better for a news organization with more recognizable talent(NBC News could have done this spot with more success)

Copycat!
Check out this spot from KOLD in Tucson... look familiar?
These are copycat spots from the ones WCCO did. I kind of liked the WCCO spots - but this one does nothing for me.
The best part? Their slogan is LIVE. LOCAL. LATEBREAKING!
Nothing says we're aggressive and all over the big, breaking stories like a PBS spot on qualudes.
