GM Spot

Some nice writing for this GM spot:

Saw this earlier today...

I also thought the writing was good. The last GM spot I saw was the Everclear AM Radio :60 spot focused on GM's heritage.

I think this one does a good job of asking the viewer to look forward, forget all of the crap going on right now, and believe in GM again. It's almost cause-marketing in a way.

Not a huge fan of the VO work but the good writing carries it. Usually, it seems to be the other way around.

How would you write this for the TV industry? Would your CSD / GM let you admit faults like this commercial does?

Would your GM/CSD let you admit faults like that?

I pray that your station doesn't have faults as bad and as self-evident as GM's.

Great writing I agree, but the video clips don't make since to me. Is Ben Rothlisberger the new President of GM?

The visuals just prove to me that the words are all talk - a big idea with no proof to back it up. Why not show auto-workers, that's what the bail-out is all about, saving American jobs. It's not the rebirth of the American car, it's the re-birth of the American Dream.

If the Cardinals had won the Superbowl, would Kurt Warner have put in a cameo, or were they going for the Pittsburgh Steel connection? Best use of a prosthetic clip goes to... Nice spot, but I don’t think it will sell cars. Spend tax payer money on increasing fuel mileage not PR.
