WBZ Promo
A very interesting visual technique. These guys are starting to piss me off, they're so good. :) (Just kidding! Love me some BZ!)

Ok, who has that kind of time for a topical? Especial in today’s broadcast market. Promos like that say to management "hey I have a bunch of time on my hands lets do some stop motion!" Watch out WBZ the corporate bean counters have you in there sites. Or at least a few producers can go.
Great spot! Proof you can do something creative on a special report. Don't listen to "Anonymous". Our stations are judged by what we do during sweeps. Which makes sweeps spots some of the most important work we do. If you are not spending at least a day on TSR's - what exactly are you doing during sweeps? We only have a two person unit and I spend at least a day on every special report spot. I have the other nine months to work on image spots.
Jerry, at least in my case, try being a one-person promo producer, graphics artist, and traffic assistant who writes, shoots, and edit topicals for three newscasts, plus live preshow teases for each, knock an hour out for log fill assistance, then add newscast prepro... the list goes on. I wish I had a day to work on a sweeps spot. Hell, I wish I didn't have to multitask when I'm trying to be creative with a sweeps spot, but in my world that just ain't gonna happen.

It took that producer one day to do said special report promo...yep, one day. He's that good. Yes, I'm bragging on you, jcase.
One day Wendy? I'm lucky if I get an hour and a half to put a sweeps spot together!
