Older WNBC Spot
I love the music in this spot -- but the only thing it tells me about WNBC is that their news team LOVES to walk.

Pulsating music, pretty pictures, tight editing--it all says nothing. No reason to watch, no emotional connection, no differentiation, no call to action. A complete waste of money and time in 60 seonds. To have convinced the GM to give you :60 seconds for a promo and to have made this--worthless. Paul Greeley pgreeley98@aol.com
The first isn't your typical :15 or :30 -- it took time to make its point. That's not the norm --- and I appreciate it for that.
The better spot was the apology spot at the end! I've always loved that!!!
As for the history spot - I like it. Probably done for an anniversary --- it really lays out WNBC's role in recording history. Beautifully shot and edited.

Look at them. It's all about them. Then the tagline, "It's just a typical day at OUR office."
No one cares. Behind the scenes of the news is not as interesting to viewers as you think it is.
And for the record, the music is awful. Isn't this a typical New York market promo?
Nothing beats this one, a four-minute WNBC promo that goes absolutely nowhere:

Then, on the other hand, is this from 1997:

I actually like those Brian!!
