I think the "too much fake smoke thing" has been done before. They're just missing blue-lit chain link fence.

Yep, the CBS affiliate in Denver did this years ago. I found it on youtube, but it won't play for me. Does it work for you?

The biggest problem I have with spots like these is that you're asking people who aren't actors to act. It rarely comes across as genuine.

That’s awesome! Getting a creative idea produced and on television is like magic. Sneak something fun in between the Double Doppler and Killer Toothbrush spots. Reminds us why we got into the business. Nice work. Keep the faith.
