WFAA Image Part 2

WFAA has a long history of doing whatever it takes to get the story.  But I'm curious how this will play though to Texans.  It seems to say they cover national news --- not local stories that happen to be in other places.

This is just one spot though... knowing WFAA, they've got this figured out.  Thoughts?

I definitely do not watch the local news for national stories. I have National News, multiple 24 hour Cable News Channels, & a wealth of information on the Internet for that.

I would love to see WFAA focus heavily on local. Go farther HERE. Investigate more HERE. I think that's really the only way local news (in it's current form) will survive. Focus on a niche & do it well. I wouldn't try to tap into a market that's already way too saturated.

My impression of this spot was that they were going for an angle of how news in those areas effect you at home in your local market. Following stories across boarders not just in your town. Could be wrong though.
