I really like the concept and the style contained in these spots, but there is something that just doesn't fit right which makes them off the mark. I wish I could be helpful and tell you just what it is, but I don't know. It could be the pacing or the delivery. I think these could benefit from a little more reworking and thought.
I agree. Nice production value, but I think it's like the idea of seeing sausage being made. The 'process' by which they thumb through papers or answer the phone just isn't very compelling. As a matter of fact, it's downright boring and not worth watching. There are no specific stories being told...or real people being showcased. Nobody wants to know what's in the sausage or how it's made...they just want to see the results...that might have been a better angle to pursue. The over-the-top heavy-handed music was a bit much too for my taste....but as always, I applaud the attempt at something unique and original.
I wouldn't call this original... there's a spot buried in a reel on YouTube from KLAS in Las Vegas that takes a very similar approach without being quite this dramatic.
