Someone will inevitably say, why would you position your news anchor as the butt of a joke, etc, etc.?
I'm thinking that comes from the mindset that anchor people are perceived as superior and authoritative. Well viewers don't think so. At least they're giving the new guy some personality.
I like this campaign. One of the better anchor intros I've seen. They're doing a good job at positioning him as real and likeable, and those might be more important traits in an anchor than authoritative.
