ummm ok so I take it the Packers are a big deal there. I had no idea. Just goes to show you that if your right (that the packers are THAT big of a deal) that the opinions here on the world wide interweb don't matter.
In other words...If news/weather comes second to the Packers then I guess your right on. But for the record I think your wrong. After all they call it "the news". But maybe there they call it "the Packers news" there. I will stop rambling now sorry!
Can't be mad at these spots, pretty straight forward fare. Not pretending to be something they're not and at least they aren't throwing water balloons at each other. Sometimes promo folks are so bored with simple news promos that they go bonkers with these spots.
Being "the official Packers" station AND having Larry McCarren didn't do a whole lot to push the numbers at the CBS affiliate in Green Bay (they had the same duo for most of the 2000's), so why would this time around be any different?
FOX has the majority of Packers games, so I'd suggest finding another hook to hang your promotional hat.
So what are you February - August? Unless you can show me research that says it matters, I'm siding with the others, it doesn't.
Everything else in the spots just says, "We do our jobs" there is nothing here that says we're different. Can't everybody claim to have the best weather team?

In Wisconsin, in Green Bay, the Packers are a major deal. The affiliation and being the Official Packers Station are separators in this market.
On game day, all 4 stations lead with Packers game coverage, usually for the entire A block.
I'm not impressed by the text treatment in these spots, too generic and basic. The VO guy doesn't fit these spots for my tastes...

On the plus side, the look good.
