I think the promos are good. I kind of like the "cocky" read from the VO guy. But, I'm going out on a limb here and assuming that the newscast is NO different than every other newscast.
No 11 at 11 is not new, but... There's obvious thought and intention put into this execution, which is more than can be said for 70% of the 'insert logo here' or 'copy and paste' a poor man's knockoff of what another market is doing spots that are 'typical' here.. -J.R.

remember your newscast is unique, just like every other newscast.

like the idea of seperating from typical newscasts but in doing so make sure your promos dont look like typical news promos (which these do)
