The
CBS O&O in San Francisco has an immediate opening for a seasoned
news promotion writer/producer/editor to join our talented team. This
position requires a candidate
willing to work the evening shift.
Required
Qualifications: Excellent copywriting skills that can cut through the
clutter while delivering a clear and compelling promise of coverage.
Highly-skilled in
non-linear editing, preferably on our current platform of Final Cut
Pro. A basic knowledge of After Effects is required, and advance
skills in Adobe Creative Suite is a huge plus. Ability to perform under
tight deadlines and to work as a team with newscast
producers and talent. Must be self-motivated and eager to develop new
skills in the Bay Area’s rapidly-changing, highly-competitive
environment.
The
ideal candidate has a passion for local news, along with a great eye
and ear for integrating visuals, graphics and sound to create effective
promos.
College
degree in broadcasting, advertising, or related area; at least 3 years
television promotion experience preferred. Previous news topical writing
and editing
experience is a requirement. Former or current news producers with
technical and creative abilities are encouraged to apply.
