Superbowl Ads

I wasn't that impressed - but I think I'll be seeing more spots today that I missed.

Here are two I really liked:

Yeah, it was a pretty weak showing this year.

Without looking at a written list, I wouldn't have been able to tell you what any of the products or companies were that any of these spots went to. So as much as I liked the following spots, they ultimately didn't work because I don't remember who they were for.

I liked the E*Trade baby and clown spot.

The Audi Godfather parody was good too.

The beer spots were rather dull. The fire-breath spot would have been funnier if Quiznos or Subway hadn't done the same idea a couple of years ago.

The "Rocky" Clydesdale's spot would have been better if there had been a stronger ending. It needed more than just "welcome to the team".

FedEx pigeons spot was good.

Tide stain was good.

SoBe "Thriller" dance was interesting.

Charles Barkley bothering Dwayne Wade was pretty funny.

Shaq as a jockey was vaguely amusing, but I can't imagine wanting to see it a second time.

The Salesgenie spots were incomprehensible.

Great summary Vic. A lot of the spots were good. Few were great.

Tide stain was my favorite because it wasn't just funny, the joke was also the sell. A lot of spots are funny, but the joke is just there to get your attention. I liked how it was worked into the message. And even though I laughed at some of them, I wish someone would call a moratorium on:

-Talking babies
-Talking or dancing animals, especially amphibians
-Cavemen

Aren't there other funny premises? What's everyone else sick of seeing?
