Goodbye Wendy
This week, our main anchor of 20 years is leaving WESH. Wendy is a fantastic person who will be missed. Here is a spot we put together to promote her last newscast:

Don, Nice classy spot for a real classy lady. I had the pleasure of working with Wendy at WESH and just want to say that the local TV news business is losing one of its finest. Paul Greeley pgreeley98@aol.com
Beautifully shot and edited. Of course her last day is on the last day of sweeps (but most viewers don't know that). Too many numbers again for my liking. But if I was a casual WESH viewer, then I'd probably tune in to watch the goodbye celebration. What kind of outside support are you doing (radio, newspaper, billboards, etc.)?
Thanks for your comments Scooterbucs... sorry you didn't like all the #s.
You have been banned from my site. Goodbye.
:) just kidding... love constructive criticism.
As for outside support - we really don't have $$$ - so we did an ad in a local newspaper that we are partners with. Wendy has also done radio interviews and the main newspaper is planning a big article. We have also spent the month of May airing goodbye videos from celebrities, etc.
I'll let you all know how we do that last night.
Also - please, I'd love to hear what others thought of the spot.
