"You know, I'm kinda thinking I don't WANT the justice. Thanks anyway."
And it always amuses me (but not in a ha-ha way) when I see this "Wheel of Justice" concept pop up. It's like, "We at ABC26 are going to arbitrarily cover news stories based on the random results of this party wheel."
Better production values MIGHT have rescued this idea, but I don't think so. I immediately want to avoid this station.
I think the wheel of justice would be better if they stuck some kind of random food item on it and rewarded viewers with it when the wheel lands on them... tonight the wheel of justice landed on a burrito so congrats everyone... it's either justice or nachos... works for me
While I'm not condoning the spots, I do like the imagery and pace of the first spot. It gets your attention. The second spot was sort of cute with the ladies gossipping, but didn't hold my attention. And what's with the "Dog the Bounty Hunter" knock off? The campaign might work better if "The Wheel of Justice" was it's own program and not produced by the news dept. ala "America's Most Wanted".
Forget the promos, the entire concept is bonkers. There's nothing like comparing catching criminals to a game show. Yes, WGNO is in last place and they're flinging all sorts of poo and seeing what sticks. This will disappear in no time.

Never once in all our research has a focus group said "We watch because they catch bad guys".
It's not like they have a lot to lose already. They're dead last in the ratings I think.
