The music is similar to the KTVU promos, but these have much better visuals. I just wished more creative folk understood that bombastic music with trumpet leads just doesn't resonate with the desired news demos anymore. It's incredible to me how the trumpet has changed from the sound of a trusted authority into the sound of the overly cheesy or pompous.
KPIX in San Fran has one of the best local TV news marketing folks at the helm that hardly anyone's ever heard of, Dee Joyce. She's responsible for helping create the strongest local TV news brands in the country at WWL-TV in New Orleans.
