KOB Election Spots

Here are 2 election spots from KOB in Albuquerque.

Here's what the producer said when sending the spots along:

I interviewed the anchors about what it's like to work election night and why it's so important to vote in this election. I think they turned out really well but I'd love to get feedback on them from the talented people who visit your site.

Personally, I love these spots. I feel a connection with the talent and it feels like their message in sincere.

It doesn't feel as staged as the KCNC campaign. Great pacing, but not as jarring with the random cutaways KCNC used.

Great job! Wish we had done them.

Very nice. Looks like group of people I'd like to spend election night with...and I'm sure they are completely different than anything else running in New Mexico.

You have anchors with a natural delivery, not once did their lines feel contrived... which is not easy!

Good work..

Great job! I like the choice of not using music. I definitely felt a connection, but would love to know their names. Nothing felt forced or contrived. It felt like I was having a conversation with them.

great job... it was nice not to have music.

i always think music is such a powerful way of conveying emotion. i wonder if the producer tried them with music... and then decided against it... or what was the thinking? just curious. i think i might have felt more of a connection if there had been music. but that's just my opinion.

interesting that these spots plus the KCNC promos are shot in black & white. Is that a common theme for election promos?

...just wondering..

THESE are what the KCNC promos should have been. Very nice.

I thought that the message seemed more real and conversational to the viewers without music, plus I wanted their words to be the focal point, not music... and I made them black and white because I thought it made their message more timeless. Hope that helps.
