Good Night Don Shelby

Tomorrow, legendary anchor Don Shelby retires from WCCO. From what I know of Don - he is a class act. Good luck Don! Here are a couple of promos:

Now that's refreshing... anchors who actually like each other and don't sound forced into it when acting. From what I've seen, Don's a great anchor. For as long as he's been there, it'll be tough to picture the station without him.

As usual, Erica and the gang at WCCO do another great job on these spots.

The first one was great. The second one was too, until the crying moment. It seemed like they used it just because they had it. To me, it seemed a little out of place.

Dear Anonymous-
You're entitled to your opinion. :) Thanks for the feedback. I used the crying shot of Amelia mostly because she had already cried openly before and cried during most of the interview. Just trying to truly represent how deeply she cared for Don. I asked her if she felt uncomfortable and her response was, "Heck no-I've been a mess this entire time, it's true!" haaha.
I can see how, to someone outside of the market, it may appear desperate though. Thanks again.
