KWWL "Fresh"
I get the play on words... but I don't get the connection between food and morning news.

Looks like someone's been watching too much Food Network. Nice concept and eye-catching, but each spot immediately makes me think of that famous cable channel instead of KWWL.
Heh. I'll take our station's ratings over our market ratings for Food Network any day. And the connection between the food and the News? Strawberries are sweet, our newscast is a sweet way to start your day. The lettuce is fresh, so is our news that morning (we have a dedicated AM reporter), tomatoes are healthy, and peppers are spicy.
Fresh, sweet, spicy? I don't see how a news program can live up to all that, but I've never seen your show. My guess is these spots, while clever, won't resonate because none of your viewers think of the show that way.

I like these. It's simple association. When you think of fresh and sweet...think KWWL. I think this kind of branding works better than we measure.
I get it. But I'm not eating lettuce in the morning, or peppers for that matter.
Wouldn't breakfast food make more sense?
