Great spot! Loved the integration of old news films. Very clean graphics and the music track was spot on! Only critique I have is it was hard to hear the VOs at times. Otherwise, very good!
I loved the original 60-second spot touting and taking up through the history of service of WBNS. I have to say that this is a great addition to and continuation of that campaign. This spot creates a thirst for news, and a thirst for news about Columbus. This is what local TV news should be. When I watched it, I felt I wanted to be a part of that. Kind of had a celebratory feel to it. Plus the footage that comes out of those Canon Mark II 5-D cameras is just gorgeous. Paul Greeley pgreeley98@aol.com
There is a reason BNS has always been Central Ohio's news leader. The news operation, and on air creative is consistently at a level way beyond the competition. They've always delivered everything they've sold themselves as. The family owned Print, Radio, Broadcast and Online properties are trendsetters in Media. They work at first class everyday, and have earned every bit of their success.
In this spot, only the final shots with the signs were DSLR and few other shots like the girl with the flag. We were still testing the camera when rushing this spot. All of the non-archive video is Panasonic P2 HD.
We'll be doing more with that camera. In fact, our most recent Next 10 spot is like 95% DSLR. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjqM3s18FWk

They've been using that "Dreaming of Tomorrow" song for 4 years and it never gets old. This is what a TV station with $$ to spend looks like...
Have to brag on my guys... That spot was done for just a couple of hundred dollars for audio mixing.
DSLR camera is the best investment we've made.
Oh... and I knew Columbus was that forward thinking! :)
Very proud of the 10TV Marketing Team.

Frank, what make/model camera are you using?
At work I'm shooting some quality footage with a Canon T2i, and I can't say enough wonderful things about the Nikon D7000 I'm rocking at home.

I imagine a lot of that is news footage, not shot on a DSLR, so can you denote what was and what wasn't? Thanks!
60D with prime lenses...
