I agree. They took their clean and simple promo style and made it... boring.

I really like them. They're engaging... and feel genuine. I don't find them boring at all. I think viewers will really connect with these.

I guess if you work in a market or station that's all about heavy animation and sound effects you'd be bored, but I find these really work. And it's genuinely nice to see reporters and reporting featured, and not just propped-up, pretty anchors touting consultant-written slogans and statements.

That said, even though the first one did feature anchors, and I didn't think they were merely propped-up, it was probably the least organic and thus my least favorite.

That said, in one of the two I-TEAM spots, there is a mic flag from a FOX station featured. Unless it was the most important confrontation that reporter has ever done and everyone in town remembers it, I'd find another shot than to use something that featured a competitor's mic in a promo. Especially since the BZ reporter's mic has no flag on it.

Anchors and reporters talking about themselves and how good they/the station are? What a way to make a connection to the viewer.
