Interesting Irene Spot

There's something about how this anchor delivers the spot that works. Not perfect -- but pretty real and honest.

Unfortunately, I can't embed the spot here -- so all I can do is offer a link.

What do you think of it?

I liked it...until the graphics. They had nothing to do with VO. I don't care about how many page views, new likes, or how many tweets. Having that info on the screen at the same time as the VO, I couldn't follow along and I lost interest.

Instead of telling me "how much"... show me how your news coverage plus social media saved lives and kept people safe.

I agree with Anonymous. Leave the page views and likes for the Sales reel.

Just so you know, his words were ad-libbed during live coverage. They've been edited down a bit.

I think this is a really great idea for a hurricane POP spot. Live coverage, ad-libbed all about social media which is so important in today's local news coverage. plus, it looks like they had some pretty big numbers, which is worth bragging about. That's what a POP is for anyway right?

Interesting idea, with the anchor's ad lib. But I agree about the numbers, leave them out! It was jolting when the anchor said the word "intimate" & I saw some large number. Doesn't sound very intimate to me!
