How's Your Sweeps Shaping Up?
With the May book starting tomorrow - I've put up a new poll to the side.
How's everyone looking? Which network has the best stuff?
Care to share any of your sweet sweeps stories? :)

Nothing really exciting. Our News Department meets with us a week before sweeps starts and usually only has 3 or 4 stories slotted, the rest are TBD. So we have to track down what the next topic will be. Very frustrating.
Curious to get other's opinions...what's your thought on doing contests during sweeps? We're running 3 contests at once in May...
3 contests sounds like too many to me! Viewers have a hard enough time figuring out what's what on a normal day. Throw three contests plus sweeps at them, and forget it.
If you're gonna contest in a book, do one, and do it BIG. (Then again, they're probably three advertisers your AE's are trying to suck up to.)
Promos already in the can? News stories shot multiple days before they air? This sweeps month has been a pleasure so far. Our news department is on top of their game and they're setting up the promotions department for success.
Stories ranging from edgy, to emotional, to... that story again? Oh well.
This is my first 'big book' in a new market and I'm loving the vibe.
