Pump Jumping

The producer of this spot would love your feedback. No music, no announce, just some text to flesh out the message of the promo. I think he really demonstrated the problem -- with one simple soundbite. Check it out.

The fact that there was no announcer, no music, and just a little nat sound under at the beginning got my attention. I think the whole one-shot said the whole story. My only question might be to have stated whether this was a one-gas station problem or more wide-spread. But over-all, it caught my attention and I remembered it. It cut through.

Thought it was great. Love it when you have something so strong that you don't need anything to jazz it up. Although I might try to dub in the correct amount of gas... a little nitpicky, but he said ".75 gallons" instead of ".075"

Love it. I'm all for using all nat sound when possible. Totally cuts through the clutter. Great job!

That's the mark of a great producer or creative manager...who realizes when the story is good enough not to overdo the promo. Good eye for the sell. Most of us would kill for news to bring us a "get" like this.

Great spot. If I happen to be staring at a monitor and watch it all the way through. But that's not how the viewing public watches tv or catches a promo. A promo has to work on multiple levels. Not just one.
