Boston Strong

How can a television station respond after tragedy?

Following the Boston bombings - my colleagues in Boston had to go to work the next day and ask themselves that question.  Some had ran in the race -- and this was very emotional for them.

WBZ put together the following spots that highlighted their connection to the community -- and gave viewers a glimmer of hope at a time their community was heartbroken.

Wow, some very moving examples.
If I may make a shameless plug....on Monday, look for an article on TVNEWSCHECK about what the Boston stations' marketing depts did during and after the the bombing. I interviewed each station's CSD and you'll see their examples as well.
