It's pronounced Gasia Mikaelian - Duh!

What do you do when you have an anchor with a name that's hard to pronounce?

You use it to your advantage!

Here is a spot out of San Francisco.   Gasia Mikaelian has been in the market for 10 years and is moving to the mornings.

The station used their popular traffic anchor to re-introduce her to viewers.  They also used social media to great benefit.

Fun idea, but the joke runs out of steam right away. That is, he keeps mispronouncing the name in more or less the same way. It would have been funnier and stickier if he bungled it in goofier ways... "Milk-Mania" ... "Macaulay Culkin" ... "McAlien" etc. Missed opportunity, unless the concern was their anchor coming off as an idiot for getting the pronunciation *that* wrong.
