CBS Hits the Roof

Well here's something none of us will ever have the budget to do. CBS has painted an ad for "The Amazing Race" on three buildings near LAX in Los Angeles. Hoping to stand out from the crowd - these rooftop billboards are pretty eyecatching for those just finishing up their free peanuts.

From Variety:

"We're right on an active approach path," said CBS marketing topper George Schweitzer. "So we've gotten plenty of reports from people who have seen it. It organically fit 'The Amazing Race,' and we thought it would be a fun thing to do."

Anybody know if these were CBS buildings, or did they pay a company on the approach path?

Cool idea.

Cool idea... As a white knuckle flier, I'm usually paying more attention to anything other than out the window on take offs and landings.

GREAT IDEA!! Does anyone know how to contact these buildings for future promos????

The buildings are owned by the Oakstone company, a Los Angeles Real Estate firm. They approached CBS with the idea.

You can email me if you want to advertise. There are 3 roofs and for all three it is 90K or 30K per rooftop per month. The roofs are privately owned and the pricing does not include production of the creative. Once the contract is signed, there is a required deposit for the space. They are availble for 2009...first come, first served.
