Fox 9 Spring Weather

They had me until the end. The bumbling doesn't work for me.

The rest of the spot is well done though!

I definitely enjoyed the end...

If the phone "dropped" and "flew" a bit more realistically I'd probably like the effort more. Unfortunately the CG work kind of thows me off.

Thanks for the feedback.
Just so you know, that's a real phone that was dropped.
The only CG is the placing of the image in the phone.

The ending made the multiple screen concept worth it.

Nice concept, well-executed. Sold me on the convenience of all the platforms I can use to get their weather coverage. People drop their pphones all the time, so that part seemed normal.
Well done. I might steal the production technique.

Here's why the end DOESN'T work: He makes NO effort to save the phone. Because he knew he was going to drop it, that was the goal, and there was probably only one take. Listen, go all out. If it falls back in the boat, you do it again. But he needed to be reaching and grabbing and doing all he could to keep it from going in. That's what an actual person dropping a $200 phone into a lake would do. I really feel if that happened, it would have been 10x funnier and not felt awkward.
