WKYC: Welcome to Gold

Love the shooting style. Love the graphics. The message... hmmm... leaves me a little confused I guess. I "get" at the end that they've won Emmys -- but it still doesn't quite work for me. Maybe its just been a long week. I always like their work. Thoughts everyone?

I only watched this spot once and here are my feelings about it without thinking. I really like the music, and the style of the spot. I get the message, (Too many news promos never have a message), and like the way it was deliverd. It's hip, happening, and doesn't take itself too serious. Cool is probably the right word. If I were asked in a focus group if this spot would make me want to watch these people, I'd say yes. Good job.

I'm having problems watching embedded YouTube clips today (not just your site). Can you put a link to it please?

"Let's do dis." That was weird, but the rest of the spot was good.

I thought I was watching a commercial for Home Shopping Network's foray into the news business.

The message is clear; they're the best and have awards to prove it. I'm guessing it aired during the Olympics.

Scooterbucks is right. The spot did air in the Olympics and it's about the quality of our newscasts.

That spot was produced by our senior producer who is one of the most talented editors I've ever seen. What she creates graphically in the Avid is amazing.

I agree with Jason. I'm not crazy about the "let's do this" or "that's a wrap" audio, but that's a personal choice. One of the great things about our VP of Marketing and Advertising is that she gives all of us the freedom to express ourselves creatively and doesn't stifle our ideas.
