Calling Out the Competition

In Houston, the local NBC station tweeted out a photo of a traffic accident.

Problem is, the photo was of coverage from the competition, KTRK.

A promo that takes on something every newscast in America hangs their hats on... breaking news.

Boston Strong

How can a television station respond after tragedy?

Following the Boston bombings - my colleagues in Boston had to go to work the next day and ask themselves that question.  Some had ran in the race -- and this was very emotional for them.

WBZ put together the following spots that highlighted their connection to the community -- and gave viewers a glimmer of hope at a time their community was heartbroken.
