CW Chicago

Now, I know this doesn't make sense because I usually hate this kind of stuff... but I actually kind of like these spots! Check em out:

They are definately a different kind of newscast and the product seems to match the promotion with the fun, from what I can tell.

What do you think? Get a rope or yeehaw?!!

"Out of the Box" Thinking

The next time someone says they want you to come up with an "out of the box" idea -- something really different -- imagine this spot and try not to giggle.

New WESH spot

Here is our new spot for the A-list, a fantastic web driver that allows people to vote for everything from restaurants to wedding planners in a "Best of" competition.

I decided this year, since its an election year - to play off that theme. We had a lot of fun with it and our graphics guru Matt did a great job. Let me know what you guys think!

Congrats to a Favorite Producer!

If you're looking for the future of television promotion - look no further than Erica at WCCO. She'll tell you she's fairly new and still learning - but her spots show great range and understanding of what is great.

Last week, Erica won a Bronze Promax award for this spot:

She also did the promos for this station campaign that won a GOLD:

You can check out more info on her work on her blog:

Also - here are a few other promos from Erica:

Congrats Erica... one really nice person and a heck of a producer. We look forward to seeing more of her work!!

Joke Promo

This is from the Fox station in Washington, DC:

Here is the info posted on youtube about the spot:

This is a joke piece that WTTG ran for Halloween 2007.

It did run several times on-air but, again, was just a joke.

I must be getting old and cranky - but I just don't think it is ever a good idea to do these kinds of spots. What does this say about you? That your team looks good in tights? Even if it only ran a few times - I just don't get the joke. This was funny for the people who put it together - but do the viewers have any other response than to roll their eyes?
