MSNBC Spot

This is a little older...but I like this spot. Nicely shot. See if you can figure out the voice over guy...

The line about the nation's most trusted news source seems a bit much - but the rest is ok.

And I believe to voice is Magnum PI himself, Tom Selleck!

Agreed. Very tasteful spot. A bit much about being the most trusted (based on what?), but I liked how they didn't try to paint their anchors and reporters as caring about the news or the viewers more than any of the other stations.

Inspired choice for VO. Even if most of us can't afford Tom Selleck, I still like the style as opposed to the Voice of God guy we tend to use because he's on retainer. Adds something special to the spot.

they got me

right there

'emotional drivers' make winning spots

add to it the incredible production value and the uniqueness of a recognizable voice and you got yourself one hell of a promo

very well done, msnbc

I miss when MS' use to use Dee Snider (yes, that Dee Snider). Plus Tom Selleck is f***ing expensive, dudes, and I always half expect him to go into monologue mode and wonder why Higgins is in such a bad mood and why T.C. and Rick don't wanna hang out tonight.
