bad graphics
lousy VO
bad script

Some of the copy is questionable, and it seems everything is national.

What happened in Boston?

"So what's in store for 2010? You'll see..." Me: Yeah...in the paper, on the web on any other news station dedicated to covering, oh say, current events.

And can someone explain to me why you flip that Tiger shot so he's left-handed???

WOW, no kidding questionable copy! Can you say opinionated? Not good.

I can't believe people hate this so much. I liked it.

The economy is local
Bruschi is local (New England Patriots)
Gates and the cop are local (Cambridge, MA)
Kennedy passing is local (Duh)
Captain of the pirate ship is local (RI and MA)

EVERY STORY IS LOCAL, that's what some promotion departments (including the one I work for) fail to recognize.

That's why this spot is great.

Yup, it was a year in which a lot of Boston-area headlines also made national news.

As for the copy, it's what the majority of us are thinking anyway. I don't have a problem with it.

That was absolutely legendary.

I don't understand how you could hate on this. It fits their brand to a tee.

The writing was exceptional, the music was perfect, and the graphics were insane.

I loved the concept but not the execution. VO was horrible. I liked the casual vibe but the copy needed a rewrite. Little bit about balloon boy was good. Graphics looked intense but they belonged to another spot. Had more of a comedy vibe to them, and they didn't fit.
